This weekend preview for October 9-11, 2015 is sponsored by RiverStone Health

It’s October so not only do we have our standard weekend happenings going on all around us, but there are oodles of Harvest (and soon to be Halloween) happenings in our midst. To get the full scoop on those ghoulishly good times, click here; for this weekend’s happenings…Read on!

Friday, October 9 marks the opening weekend for Billings Studio Theatre’s performances of The Addam’s Family, running Thursdays-Sundays, October 9-31 (7:30pm, except Sundays-2pm). This Friday attendees are invited to meet the entire Family following the opening performance at the Afterglow Meet the Actor Reception. (248-1141, www.billingsstudiotheatre.com).

Saturday, October 10 offers oodles of fun starting with the 12th Annual HarvestFest held under Skypoint in Downtown Billings from 9am-4pm. Expect fun activities for the whole family including Arts & Crafts booths, Farmers’ Markets produce, Food Trucks, Kiddo Activities, and more! And if you’re looking to get your Christmas shopping started early, then you might want to pop by the Best Bazaar in Billings (9am-1pm) at First Presbyterian Church (2420 13th Street West). Enjoy great food, crafts and vendors while supporting educational opportunities for women! At 9:30am you can check out Moss Mansion’s special tour Trunks & Treasures (though reservations are recommended, 256-5100). This tour allows guests to learn more about the historical artifacts that have been tucked away in drawers and hidden compartments throughout the mansion.

As for Saturday evening, hopefully you already snagged your tickets for The Pink Tie Affair being held at the Northern Hotel at 6pm with a Western/Montana theme (in addition to all things pink, of course). This special event is a fundraiser for The Ramsey Keller Memorial, which pays for the infant funerals in Montana – taking on that financial burden for families in an emotionally devastating time.

For a full look at the weekend’s happening be sure to check out SFM’s online calendar!
