This weekend preview for August 21-23, 2015 is brought to you by RiverStone Health
Ready or not, the last weekend of summer vacation has arrived for Billings’ (and surrounding area) families. Before you say goodbye to those carefree summer days, check out these offerings of family fun happenings in Billings this weekend:
Get your weekend festivities started early with Alive After 5’s Family Fun Night on Thursday, August 20, 5-8pm at South Park. The evening includes live music by the Midlife Chryslers, children’s activities (including aerosol painting on large cellophane walls wrapped between trees, face painting, a climbing wall, and more) near the park’s play area. A handful of Billings’ best food trucks will also take part.
The Billings Mustangs are on a four game home stretch against Missoula on Friday-Monday, August 21-24 at Dehler Park. They’ll play at 7:05pm on Friday and Monday, 6:05pm on Saturday, and 1:05pm on Sunday. If you’re waffling over which game to attend, you might like to know that Sunday after the game there will be a Mega-Candy Drop! Presented by St. Vincent Healthcare, as soon as the final out of the game is made, 1,000 pounds of candy will be dropped from a helicopter onto the outfield grass for the kids to hunt and gather!
And then there’s the last big party of the summer that is absolutely fun for the whole family. It’s Head Start’s 3rd Annual Rock2Raise concert on Friday, August 21, 6pm at the Billings Depot. This outdoor music festival is the largest fundraiser of the year for Head Start and features John Roberts Y Pan Blanco and Cure for the Common. Expect games, face painting, and food trucks to add to the fun! Tickets are $12 in advance/$15 at the gate. For additional information go to rock2raise.yapsody.com.
