Does Your Teen Text While Driving? Encourage Them to Play This Game

Web Editor November 30, 2011 0

I recently learned about a new interactive “game” on the New York Times website that tests the participant’s ability (or lack thereof) to text while driving.  It’s a simple test that tests your reaction time as you attempt to send three texts while “steering” through the assigned gates.

When you’ve completed the test it will show you the difference between your texting reaction time and non-texting reaction time and you’ll see how you rank against other participants.

I would highly recommend that you take the test yourself and “challenge” your teen to do the same.  It’s a real eye opener when you see just how much texting affects your ability to react to even the most basic driving obstacles.

If you’ve taken the test let us know how you did on Facebook or right here!  Did you beat your teen’s score?  ;)
